💎 X-ray Crystallography Now in CryoCloud

We’re excited to announce that CryoCloud now supports automated X-ray crystallography (XRC) workflows — making it easy to import data, run scalable analyses, and visualise results with full traceability, all in the cloud.

To mark the launch, we’re hosting a webinar:
📆 October 16, 2025 | 11:00 AM ET / 5:00 PM CET
🔬 Featuring a CDK2 case study + expert panel on real-world XRC challenges

Join us to see how CryoCloud brings automation, scalability, and integration to XRC.

🔬 Science Spotlight

August-September MOTM Spotlight

Our recent Map of the Month series featured two biologics case studies reprocessed on CryoCloud, one on antibody epitope mapping, the other on vaccine antigen design.

📌 August – Porcine deltacoronavirus spike RBD in complex with two Fabs

  • Final map: 2.7 Å (vs original 3.0 Å) from 35.5 h cloud compute

📌 September – SARS-CoV-2 Spike Ectodomain

  • Final map: 3.2 Å from 3.5 h cloud compute

These cases demonstrate that with strong data, CryoCloud delivers fast and interpretable results, even from relatively small datasets.

Curious to know more about these case studies, or what CryoCloud could do with your own data? You can try the platform yourself, or we can run a benchmark on your dataset to show what’s possible.

✨ Team Spotlight

Welcome to the Team Josh

Please welcome Dr Joshua White, our newest Senior Application Scientist!

Josh brings deep expertise in single-particle analysis, having supported both academic and industry cryo-EM projects at the Astbury Biostructure Lab.

He’s co-authored papers in Nature and Nature Communications, and will now lead training, support, and application development at CryoCloud.

We're thrilled to have him onboard!

🎙️ CryoCloud at the Inaugural WeM Conference

25Q4-1 newsletter

We’re proud to sponsor the first-ever Women in Electron Microscopy (WeM) conference, taking place later this week at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.

WeM is a landmark initiative designed to foster a more supportive, visible, and inclusive community for women in microscopy – through networking, role models, and targeted discussions around career development and innovation.

We’re also excited to share that our Commercial Director, Dr Ieva Drulyte, will be speaking as part of the Industry Keynotes session:

📢 Talk: Accelerating Cryo-EM Data Analysis with CryoCloud
📍 Industry Keynotes Session
🗓 Thursday, October 9

Ieva will share how cloud-native automation is transforming cryo-EM workflows and enabling high-throughput analysis in structure-based drug discovery.
