We’re pleased to share CryoCloud version 2.16, introducing full filament support along with a range of other workflow improvements.
🚀 New Features
Filament Support
CryoCloud now supports helical reconstruction workflows, including:
A new Initial Model Helix 2D job type
Filament picking in Topaz, with full visualisation in the job viewer
These updates expand CryoCloud’s capabilities to filamentous samples, from picking through reconstruction.
ServalCat ligand restraints Refinement jobs now accept ligand restraint CIF files via the --ligand argument, improving integration for structures containing small molecule ligands.
✨ Improvements
Validation for dose_per_frame Added min/max validation to the dose_per_frame field. This prevents common mistakes where the user may accidentally enter the total dose instead of the dose per frame, leading to motion correction without dose weighting.
🐛 Bug Fixes
LocScale Fixed mask path errors, causing completed jobs to lack output.
ServalCat Corrected a typo in command handling: the pixel-size argument is now passed as --pixel_size (double dash).
MotionCorr CC
MotionCorr CC now handles broken or low-frame movies gracefully, skipping affected files with a warning instead of failing the job.
