This release introduces two beta features, AutoClass2D and Workflow Exports/Imports, designed to further automate data processing, alongside several improvements to existing workflows, CryoCloud Picker, and platform usability.
🚀 New Features
(BETA) AutoClass2D
Automatically select 2D classes based on a provided reference .mrc file. AutoClass2D reduces the need for manual and subjective class selection, enabling more automated and consistent data processing workflows.
(BETA) Workflow Export & Import You can now export workflows as JSON files and import them back into CryoCloud:
Export: Download a workflow via the Export action in the workflows table
Import: Upload a workflow JSON file directly from the dashboard
✨ Improvements
Workflows
Improved failure handling: If a parent job fails, downstream jobs are now set to Draft instead of Failed.
Clearer input requirements: Each workflow node now explicitly shows what it expects from the source, and each workflow definition clearly describes what it requires to run.
CryoCloud Picker
This update introduces three targeted improvements to CryoCloud Picker, improving input handling, masking accuracy, and job runtime control:
Handles duplicate micrograph names in input STAR files by processing unique entries only
Improved area calculation for contamination masks
Jobs are now capped at a maximum runtime of 2 hours
Billing Page
Targets are now visible in the Billing page for clearer cost tracking.
Statistics & Targets Page
IDs are displayed in tables on the Statistics and Targets pages.
