We’re pleased to share CryoCloud version 2.24.

This release introduces smarter data handling with auto-detection of gain transformations, powerful new tools for file exploration, and a new workflow header that provides insight into workflow performance across projects.

🚀 New Features

Gain transformation auto-detection

CryoCloud now automatically detects and applies gain reference file transformations during data import, reducing manual setup and helping ensure correct preprocessing from the start.

New file explorer tools

A new file explorer has been introduced to allow easier navigation, review and handling of job outputs.

Search for a file of interest and preview it with no download needed:

Previews are now available for additional file formats, including: mrc, star, json, pdb and cif.

Select multiple files for convenient batch downloads with a choice of compression (.zip or .tar.gz):

Workflows overview panel

A new workflows overview panel provides high-level insights into the performance of a workflow across all projects. Failed workflow runs are flagged, and you can navigate to the relevant project with a single click, facilitating review.

✨ Improvements

Added option to download job logs

Download complete log files from the logs tab of the job panel

New embedded visuals for AutoClass3D

AutoClass3D now clearly displays which class (or classes) were selected based on cross-correlation to the provided reference. Accepted classes are marked with a tick.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Fixed checkbox for angular distribution layer in MolStar Viewer so that it is now clickable
Resolved race conditions and multi-tab performance issues, improving overall stability
Improved handling of archived class averages
Prevented stale browser tabs from causing data inconsistencies or database resets
