Hi there,

We’re pleased to share CryoCloud version 2.24.1 and 2.24.2.

These releases include our own implementation of training for particle polishing (CCMotionRefine Train), new tools for model building, and improved results visualisation.

🚀 New Features

CCMotionRefine Train (alpha)

We introduce CCMotionRefine Train for parallelised, GPU-based parameter optimisation for CCMR. This implementation uses a structured grid search to identify optimal parameter combinations.

CryoATOM for de novo model building

CryoATOM is now available for de novo model building into Cryo-EM maps. An alternative to ModelAngelo, this tool leverages recent advances in AlphaFold2 to generate more complete models with a reduced resolution requirement.

Embedded visuals for mask generation jobs

Masking jobs now have embedded visuals in the results tab. Masks are overlaid on the input volume and adjustable opacity controls allow clearer inspection of masked regions.

New workflow statistics

The workflows overview has been improved with additional metrics that provide insight into workflow performance and efficiency.

✨ Improvements

Movie reading options and particle rescaling added to CCMR

You can now specify first and last frame for per-particle motion correction in CCMR. Particle rescaling during polishing is now also possible.

Opening stopped or failed jobs now redirects to the logs page

Stopped or failed jobs no longer open to an empty results tab. Instead the log file is displayed by default.

Improved file explorer behaviour

File explorer now automatically opens at the end of the directory tree, reducing the number of clicks required to navigate to your files of interest.

Search by job alias

It is now possible to search the project grid by job alias, making it easier to locate specific jobs in crowded projects.
