We’re excited to share release notes for CryoCloud version 2.32

 

This release introduces a new job type for mitigating map anisotropy, expands team administration capabilities with enhanced security controls, and adds new visuals to the report job.

🚀 New Features

PruneOrientations: 

Automatically discard particles from over-represented views of your target to help mitigate the effects of anisotropy caused by preferred particle orientation.

  • Identifies and balances over-represented particle views 
  • Outputs angular distribution plots before and after pruning 
  • Can be inserted into CryoCloud processing workflows alongside our Anisotropy Analysis job to quantify map improvements

    Redesigned team management 

    The Team page has been overhauled to provide a more streamlined administration experience with more controls.

     

    Team specific security policies:

    Teams can now configure their own authentication and password requirements:

    • Support for team-specific multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies
    • Support for team-specific password policies 
    • Greater flexibility for organisations with specific security requirements

    • Trusted AWS accounts: Self-service AWS account connections for S3 data transfers 
    • API keys: Team-level API keys for programmatic access

    ✨ Improvements

    Generate masks from AutoClass3D volumes

    Masks are now generated automatically for volumes selected by AutoClass3D

    • Reduces manual workflow steps
    • Simplifies progression from classification to refinements 

    Expanded report visuals

    New figures have been added fore Class3D and Refine3D jobs.

     

    These figures complement existing report contents, making it easier to review workflow/project outputs

    🐛 Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where mask values could fall outside the valid range after rescaling during Extract jobs by clamping values to [0,1]

    • Various stability and usability improvements across the platform
